Pune: NCP Organises Hanuman Jayanti Aarti, Iftaar To Maintain Unity In The Country

Pune, 16th April 2022: Against the backdrop of deteriorating religious harmony in the country, Hanuman Jayanti Aarti was held at the Hanuman Temple in Karvenagar on behalf of the Nationalist Congress Party. An iftaar (fast breaking) program programs for the Muslims was organised there.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP Maharashtra State President Jayant Patil, MP Supriya Sule, Chairperson of Women’s Commission Rupali Chakankar, NCP City President Prashant Jagtap, MLA Chetan Tupe, spokesperson Pradip Deshmukh and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawar said, “India is known for its unity in diversity. There is nothing wrong with being proud of one’s religion, but hating another religion while being proud of one’s religion is not part of the culture of this country. All the citizens celebrate each other’s festivals with great enthusiasm. In the last few years, the atmosphere in the country has been going in the wrong direction and this has endangered the religious and regional harmony. This is certainly not a good thing. Against this backdrop, it is the responsibility of all the conscious citizens of the country to maintain peace in the country.”
In this program, before Iftar, NCP city president Prashant Jagtap recited the complete Hanuman Chalisa while Sohail Sheikh performed the Namaz.
