Pune: Neerathon 3.0 To Be Held In Amanora Park Town To Promote Water Conservation

Hadapsar, 21st March 2022: The Rotary Club of Pune Amanora (RCPA) is back with Neerathon 3.0- Family Marathon aimed to promote and advocate water conservation, which is a prevalent issue today’s time.

It will be held in Amanora Town on 3rd April 2022. It is organized by Amanora the Fern, Punerkar News, Amanora Park Town, and Ruby Hall Clinic.

“We say ‘No Jal No Kal’ (no water, no tomorrow). With this event, we want to convey that message. It is about water conservation and sustainable initiatives”, said treasurer Abhishek Rathi.

It is organized in three different categories viz. 10Km, 5Km & 3Km, to enable participation for all age and social groups. In the event, the winner of the 10 KM race will get a cash prize of INR 5,000. Runners Up of 10 KM race will get a cash prize of INR 3,000 and so on.

The occasion is a pledge drive cum awareness drive. Water is fundamental for endurance, and very soon, numerous Indian urban communities will run out of water. Furthermore, there is a critical water shortage in and around Pune. The pledge drives have assisted Rotary with carrying water to the needy, subsequently transforming their lives.

Pramod Dokania, president of RCPA said, “Through this Neerathon, we aim at generating surplus funds so that we can conduct more water projects in villages to provide filter water.”

Rotary Club of Pune Amanora- Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a non-political and non-religious organization.

They have executed several projects -Water Conservation, Water Harvesting, Clean Water Supply, Water ATM, RO Purifier Plants, Water Wheels, etc successfully.

Inder Singhee, Water Project Manager, said, “We expect a good response this time so that more such projects are conducted.”
