Pune: NHAI To Divert Traffic At Chandi Chowk As New Flyover Nears Completion
Bavdhan, 6th April 2023: The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is set to divert traffic at Chandani Chowk, Pune, as it lays girders for a new flyover. The work is scheduled to take place from April 15 to 20, and citizens will be informed about alternative routes.
The Collector of Pune, Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, visited the area on March 15 to inspect the progress of the project, which is set to be completed by May 1.
According to NHAI Project Director Sanjay Kadam, the work is in its final stage, and 90% of the project has already been completed. NHAI has also prepared a beautification plan for NDA Chowk (Chandni chowk), which has received approval from NDA.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that a new flyover and roads at NDA Chowk, Pune, will be inaugurated on May 1. Construction of the new bridge is currently underway, with the necessary pillars already completed. The work of laying girders for the flyover is scheduled to take place from April 15 to 20, during which traffic will be diverted through alternative routes. Additionally, the NHAI has completed the works of Bavdhan to Satara and Ved Bhavan to Mulshi roads, and these roads will be open for motorists from April 10.
