Pune: Nishit , Ruma ,Azmeer in line for double crown at MSLTA Mahatennis Deccan Gymkhana AITA U-18 Super Series Tennis Tournament
Pune, May 12, 2022: Nishit Rahane, Azmeer Shaikh and Ruma Gaikawari both of Pune will vie for a double crown reaching the singles and doubke finals in the boys and the girls section of the MSLTA Mahatennis Deccan Gymkhana AITA Under 18 Super Series Tennis Tournament which will be organized by Deccan Gymkhana and Maha Tennis Under the auspices of MSLTA and AITA and to be played at Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Courts
In the boys singles semifinals unseeded Nishit Rahane upset top seeded Tarun Korwar of Telangana 6-1, 6-2 he will now meet third seeded Azmeer Shaikh who stopped Tanishq Jadhav 6-0, 6-2;
In the doubles Azmeer Pairing Sahil Tambat will take on Jai Dixit and Nitin Rahane for the title
In the girls event Ruma Gaikwari halted the good run of. Solapur girl Aakrutte Sonkusare winning 6-4, 6-0 she will now clash with third seeded Sreenidhi Balaji of Karnataka who went through tough second set to get over Asmi Adkar 6-3, 7-6(5);
