Pune: No Tax Increase In Annual Budget Of PCMC, Municipal Budget of Rs 7,128 Crore Approved

Pimpri, 14th March 2023: The budget of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) for the financial year 2023-24 with no increase in property tax and water board is at Rs 5,298.31 crore, while the budget of Rs 7,127.88 crore along with sponsored schemes of the central and state governments was presented on Tuesday (14th March).

The balanced budget is Rs 718.68 crore. This year’s budget is distended and is Rs 631 crore more than last year. In the budget, emphasis has been placed on scrapping old schemes. The budget was immediately approved by the administrators.

An administrative rule is going on in the municipal corporation. Therefore, Chief Accounts and Finance Officer Jitendra Kolambe presented the budget to Administrator Shekhar Singh on Tuesday. The Commissioner immediately approved the budget. The budget will be implemented from 1st April.

Additional Commissioner Jitendra Wagh, Pradeep Jamble, and Ulhas Jagtap were present on the occasion. This is the first budget of Commissioner Singh and the 41st budget of the PCMC.
