Pune: No Water Supply In Lohegaon Area Since 15 Days
Lohegaon, 26th February 2022: The Santnagar area in Lohegaon has not been supplied water for the last 15 days. The water supply of the area has been disrupted due to leakage of water from the aqueduct supplying water to the area.
However, the construction of a cement (RCC) wall by the Air Force on this aqueduct has hampered the repair work of the municipality. Former Deputy Panch Pritam Khandve has warned that if the water supply of the area is not restored, he will launch a protest with the localities.
Despite the responsibility of Pune Municipal Corporation, there was always insufficient water supply to Lohegaon. However, with the launch of the Bhama-Askhed water supply scheme, the water supply situation in the area has improved considerably. Citizens also expressed satisfaction as Lohegaon was getting a regular water supply. The satisfaction was, however, short-lived as the area has not got water supply for 15 days.
