Pune: Obscene Text About Amit Shah, Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis On Facebook, Case Registered
Pune, 2nd October 2022: Defamatory and obscene text about Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were posted on the Hindu Ekta Group.
The Cyber Police have filed a defamation case regarding the matter, and Vinit Bharat Kumar Bajpai (age 39, resident of Dhanori) of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Information Technology Cell has filed a complaint at the Cyber Police. Accordingly, a case of defamation has been filed against Ramdas Shirke, who posted on the Hindu Ekta group.
According to the police, there is a group called Hindu Ekta on Facebook. Some dialogues have been given in the theatrical form, and among them, dialogues have been given by Amit Shah, Eknath Shinde, and Devendra Fadnavis.
The dramatized dialogue contains offensive and obscene content. There are texts which say that the constitutional and political prestige of dignitaries will be affected. Therefore, the offence of publishing defamatory content has been registered.
In this regard, Senior Police Inspector Minal Supe Patil said, “This post was posted on the Hindu Ekta group on Facebook, and its information has been requested from Facebook for further investigation.”
