Pune: One Dead And 13 Injured In Dive Ghat Accident, One Critical
Pune 18th Sept 2023: A construction labourer who was injured in an accident reported in the Dive ghat area on Sunday succumbed to injuries at the hospital. One more labourer is still critical and he is being treated for the injuries while 12 others have also sustained injuries in the accident.
A tempo carrying construction material was overturned near Dive ghat in the early hours on Sunday in which the construction labourer travelling from Saswad side towards Hadapswar were injured. The fire brigade teams of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) were rushed to the spot immediately after the accident.
According to the officials, the slab construction material in the tempo fell on the workers after the accident due to which many of them sustained serious injuries. The accident was reported after the driver who was also injured lost control over the vehicle. Fortunately, it did not hit any other vehicle on the road and a major accident was averted.
