Pune: One From Mumbai Arrested In Fake 10th And 12th Passing Certificate Case

Swargate, 24th April 2023: Swargate police have arrested another member of a gang who issued fake class 10th and 12th passing certificates from Mumbai. Investigation revealed that the said gang took money from 2,500 people and gave them fake certificates.

The name of the arrested person is Sandeep Kumar Shamalshankar Gupta (33), a resident of Saikripa Chawl, Kurla, Mumbai. Sandeep Dyandev Kamble (35), a resident of Sangli, Krishna Sonaji Giri (34), a resident of Bidkeen, taluka Dharashiv, Altaf Mohammed Sheikh (38), a resident of Paranda, taluka Dharashiv, Syed Imran Syed Ibrahim (38), a resident of Sambhajinagar have been arrested in the fake certificate case.

The leader of this gang is Kamble. The investigation has revealed that the accused Gupta provided information about exam centres and schools to the fake certificate gang. After the technical investigation, Gupta’s name was revealed, and the police arrested him from the Kurla area of Mumbai.

Under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Praveen Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner Smartana Patil, Assistant Commissioner Narayan Shirgaonkar, a team of Swargate Police Station Senior Police Inspector Ashok Indalkar, Crime Branch Inspector Somnath Jadhav, Assistant Inspector Prashant Sande, Shivdutt Gaikwad, Ramesh Chavan, Feroze Sheikh, etc. carried out the said operation.
