Pune: ‘Open House’ on May 28 to ‘spread awareness’ about ‘Freemasonry’

Pune, 22nd May 2023: Punekars have a chance to know more about Freemasonry, a close-knit community. An ‘Open House’ will be held on Sunday May 28 at the Freemasons Hall, 6A Exhibition Road, near Pune Race Course, Pune Camp for the public and the entry is free.

The Open House, to be held between 10 AM and 5 PM, is organized by The Leslie Wilson Lodge No 4480 EC, the Pune chapter, under the aegis of the United Grand Lodge of England. Introductory presentations on Freemasonry are scheduled at 10.30 AM, 1 PM and 3.30 PM on the same day.

“We are conducting the Open House to spread awareness about Freemasonry. The general public can take a physical tour of the premises and understand what Freemasonry is about and its symbolism. They will also be able to know about its relevance in the modern times,” VWBro. Devesh Hingorani, Dy. District Grand Master said.

A medical camp will also be held on May 28 where people can undergo blood tests, including for haemogram, S.Creatinine, HbA1c, Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) and International Prostate Symptoms Score. There will be consultation by city-based urologist Dr Amol Talaulikar and city-based allergist, immunologist Dr Himanshu Bapat.

“Through the Medical Camp, we are providing a platform for Masons, their families and the general public to get medically assessed and have an opportunity to consult with leading city doctors for diabetes and prostate,” VWBro. Devesh Hingorani added.

The medical camp is free for masons and their families, while the general public will be charged Rs 100.
