Pune: Over 28,000 Citizens of Junnar Taluka Pledge for a Developed India in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra

Junnar, 27th December 2023: As part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, more than 28,000 citizens from Junnar taluka in Pune district have pledged to develop India. The yatra, aimed at informing rural citizens about the schemes of the Central and Maharashtra State Governments, has covered 34 villages in the taluka, garnering significant participation and support.

The Yatra is scheduled to continue until January 26, 2024, and has already witnessed the active involvement of 30,123 citizens. Notably, 9,573 women, 1,965 students, 67 athletes, and 75 local artists were recognized with incentive awards during the yatra.

As part of the Yatra’s outreach, health screening for 25,636 citizens has been conducted, with 93 individuals examined for tuberculosis and 61 for sickle cell problems. Additionally, 54 citizens have been registered under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, 41 under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and 34 beneficiaries received Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana Cards. The Yatra also provided information on natural farming to 47 farmers and organized drone demonstrations for crop spraying.

The attractive LD Chitraratha showcasing central and Maharashtra state government schemes has played a pivotal role in attracting participation from senior citizens, women, students, and members of women’s self-help groups. Citizens have expressed satisfaction with the direct benefits they are receiving from these schemes in their villages.

Upcoming stops on the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra include Surale on December 28 at 9 am, Tejur at 5 pm, Aldare on December 29 at 9 am, Golegaon at 5 pm, Pimpalgaon on December 30 at 9 am, Godre at 5 pm, Sitewadi on December 31 at 9 am, and Madh at 5 pm. Group Development Officer Hemant Garime has urged citizens to take advantage of the yatra and participate in the upcoming events.
