Pune: Pakistani Citizen Arrested For Staying Illegally For Years, Obtaining An Indian Passport

Pune, 15th March 2023: A 22-year-old Pakistani citizen has been arrested by Pune city police for allegedly obtaining Indian passport and illegally staying here for the last many years.
Based on a complaint from the foreigners registration office of Pune police, an FIR has been registered by Khadak police station against Mohammad Amaan Ansari, a resident of Bhawani Peth.
According to police, his mother is an Indian and father is Pakistani national. They lived in Dubai and Pakistan. Amaan works as HR professional with Tech Mahindra company. His visas details reveal that he travelled to India in 2007, 2009 and 2015. He completed school and college education (Bcom) and worked in different companies
Police have registered a case against him for offences under sections 420, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Foreigners Act.
“Investigation is going on about he obtained Indian passport as well his activities here”, a senior police officer told Punekar News.
