Pune: PCDA Southern Command Observes Constitution Day

Pune, 26th November 2022: Office of the PCDA Southern Command, Pune observed “Constitution day” on 26.11.2022 marking the enactment and adoption of the Constitution of India on 26 November, 1949 with great enthusiasm and jubilant fanfare. The Constitution of India finally came into effect on 26th January 1950.

 

Indian Constitution is the longest written manuscript and document kept in the parliament having one lakh seventeen thousand and three sixty nine words. On this momentous great occasion, the Chief Guest Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA (SC) inaugurated the bust of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in the premises of the office in its lush green gathering amidst the presence of serving and retired officers and staff.

 

To begin with, the Chief Guest and the Senior IDAS Officers of the office lit the lamp and garlanded the esteemed bust of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in great reverence and honor. The Preamble reading ceremony on Constitution day of India in Hindi and English was read out by all officials on 26.11.2022 under the Chairmanship of Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA being the Chief Guest of the occasion.

 

The Inaugural address was given by Sh. Alok Kumar Tiwari, IDAS, ACDA. Speaking on the occasion the Guest of Honor Dr. Dale Mahesh Bhagwat, IDAS, Jt. CDA, PAO (ORs) Ahmednagar cited the importance of the day highlighted the values enshrined in the honored book of the governance of values thrown the light on the vision and mission of Baba Saheb in building of the entire Modern India. He added that one must respect and honor the constitution by following its fundamental duties but also pays oneself totally by discharging oneself with the fundamental duties to achieve the national gain, prosperity and progressive growth of the nation.

 

The Chief Guest in his keynote address emphasized the importance of preamble referring it as heart and soul of the Constitution and requesting the house to abide by its ideals for making robust vibrant and self sufficient, self-reliant nation. He landed the commendable effort of the architect of Constitution to draft it to perfection as for a young building nation which had intent the part of time and adversity.

 

As a mark to the closing ceremony of the Communal Harmony Campaign week: 2022 (Sadbhavna Saptah) which was commenced from 19.11.2022 and concluded on 25.11.2022 during this week various events and competitions were organized viz. essay writing, quiz, debate, painting, rangoli etc. The winners of these competitions were awarded by the Chief Guest along with other IDAS Officers. In addition to this, Cash Awards were also granted to MTS/ Staff, Officials and Outsourcing staffs.

 

Finally Shri Swapnil Hanmane, IDAS, ACDA proposed vote of thanks to the PCDA for his active guidance, supervision and unstinted support. He also expressed his gratitude to all the team/officials, who made the occasion exemplarity a grand success. Announcement and stage activity coordination of the programme was single handedly executed by Shri Brijesh Kumar.
