Pune: PCMC Hospitals Ready With Medicines And Expert Doctors To Treat Heat Stroke Cases

Pimpri, 6th April 2023: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) hospital is prepared to treat heat strokes that may occur during the summer. If patients with such illnesses are admitted for treatment, they will receive immediate treatment from expert doctors. The Health Department of the Central Government has also provided guidelines to the Municipal Corporation on taking appropriate precautions. As a result, municipal hospitals have been instructed accordingly.

People can experience heat stroke if they are exposed to the hot sun. It can even cause unconsciousness and death. The PCMC’s Medical Department is urging citizens to take proper precautions to prevent this. The Central Government has instructed the Municipal Corporation to provide facilities in the Municipal Hospital for the proper treatment of heat stroke.

According to the Central Government’s guidelines, heat stroke treatment will be provided in eight major hospitals of PCMC and other hospitals. Doctors at the hospital have been instructed by the Medical Department on the treatment methods. Medicines and essential materials are also available. The Medical Department is urging citizens to prioritize treatment at the municipal hospital if they experience such a problem.

The symptoms of heat stroke include headache, high fever, fainting, reddening of the skin, vomiting, increased heart rate, and impaired mental status.

For the past two days, there has been intense heat with temperatures rising after 11 am. Medical experts are urging people to take special care, as this can have a direct impact on health.

People are urged to avoid going out during the afternoon due to the rising temperatures. If it is necessary to go out, it is advised to carry a water bottle, hat, and scarf. Doctors recommend drinking plenty of water during the summer.

It is recommended to eat fresh, easily digestible foods like roti, brown rice, and green vegetables. Drinks like lemon water, buttermilk, and coconut water are also beneficial. Oily, spicy, and outside foods should be avoided, along with excessive meat, pickles, and chutneys.

As a precaution, people should use sunglasses, a hat, and a scarf, and carry a water bottle or cold drink with them. It is recommended to go out in the morning or after sunset.
