Pune: PCMC Imposes Rs 70,000 Fine On Two Medical Professionals For Improper Disposal Of Biomedical Waste

Pimpri, 27th October 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has imposed fines amounting to Rs 70,000 on two medical professionals for their involvement in the improper disposal of biomedical solid waste along the stretch from River Residency to Koloshi Road. Simultaneously, a businessman has been penalized with a fine of Rs 10,000 for the detection of dengue larvae in the vicinity.

A dedicated team conducted these enforcement actions under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner Anna Bodde, Assistant Health Officer Tanaji Date, Health Inspector Vaibhav Gholve, and Amar Suryavanshi. The operations took place in the Chikhali Moshi area on Thursday.

In response to these violations, Shekhar Singh, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner, has emphasized the significance of responsible waste disposal practices, urging all citizens to refrain from littering roads and underlining the importance of preserving the cleanliness and aesthetics of the city.

Moreover, the civic authorities have also fined Mangalam Clinic Chikhli and Shree Samarth Clinic Moshi, both amounting to Rs 35,000 each, due to their association with these breaches.
