Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Take Stringent Action Against 1,532 Heavy Vehicles Violating Rules
Pimpri, 27th October 2023: In a robust enforcement drive, the Pimpri Chinchwad Police have taken stern action against 1,532 heavy vehicles over the span of just five days for disregarding the specified entry timing rules within the Pimpri Chinchwad city premises.
Prasad Gokule, Police Inspector of Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police, highlighted that the entry timings for heavy vehicles in the Pimpri Chinchwad area were established by the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate several months ago. As per these regulations, heavy vehicles are allowed to enter only during the designated hours of 8 am to 12 pm in the morning and 5 pm to 9 pm in the evening. Continuous daily efforts to penalize heavy vehicle operators who breach these timings are currently underway and will persist.
The official Pimpri Chinchwad Police social media account further stated, “Heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering Pimpri-Chinchwad for 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening. Action taken on 1,532 heavy vehicles in 5 days for flouting these norms. Action to continue.”
