Pune: PCMC Issues Revised Lockdown Order; Curfew From 5 PM, Know What Is Allowed, Not Allowed From June 28

Pimpri, 26th June 2021: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has issued an order about new restrictions imposed in the city from Monday, June 28.

PCMC Commissioner Rajesh Patil issued the following order today:

  •  All essential category shops will be open all the days of the week till 4 pm.
  • Non-essential category shops will be open till 4 pm from Monday to Friday and will be completely closed on weekends.
  • Mall, Single screen and multiplex theatres will be completely closed.
  • Restaurants, bars, food courts will be open from Monday to Friday till 4 pm with 50% seating capacity. After 4 pm and on weekends only home delivery will be allowed till 11 pm. (Direct takeaway parcels will not be allowed). It will be mandatory for them to put up a board on the outside with a total seating capacity and a permitted seating capacity as well as stickers of instructions given by PCMC.
  • Local trains will be allowed to travel only for medical services, essential services personnel and women, government employees, airport services, port services employees.
  • Public places (parks), open ground, walking and cycling will be open on all days from 5 am to 9 am.
  • Except for the Exemption Category, all private offices will be open on working days with 50% staff capacity till 4 pm.
  • Govt. Offices and Emergency service related to all essential services and management of Covid19.
  • All outdoor sports will be allowed from 5 am to 9 am.
  • Film shooting will be allowed where accommodation is available at the place of shooting. Dedicated colony staff will be allowed to shoot if there is a place to stay (Dedicated Colony) and if there is a separate vehicle to transport them from that place. However, it will not be possible to travel outside the shooting location after 5 pm.
  • Social, religious and entertainment programs in the presence of 50 people will be allowed only from Monday to Friday at 4 pm. The duration of the above program should not exceed 03 hours. Consumption of food in this place will be prohibited. Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB) should be followed in this program. Establishments that do not comply with the order should be penalized. Also, in case of repeated violations of the rules, the license of the establishment may be revoked or concerned establishments will be closed till the day the Central Government declares that the Covid19 disaster is completely over.
  • All religious places will be completely closed for citizens. There will be permission for daily worship/ritual by the staff living in the premises.
  • Wedding ceremonies will be allowed in the presence of a maximum of 50 people. As per the terms/guidelines of the government, marriages related at religious places will be allowed in the presence of a limited number of people.
  • Funerals, Dashakriya rituals and related programs will be allowed in the presence of a maximum of 20 people.
  • Construction work where workers can stay can be continued. However, if there are workers coming from outside, work will be allowed till 4 pm. However, the employees coming from outside will leave at 4 pm to go home.
  • Agriculture related shops and their related establishments (B-seeds, fertilizers, equipment and related maintenance and repair services, etc.), as well as shops/stalls selling agricultural products in the Agricultural Produce Market Committee, will be open all the days of the week till 4 pm.
  • Ecommerce services will be allowed to supply all goods and services.
  • Gathering of more than 5 people will be prohibited till 5 pm and section 144 (curfew) is being implemented after 5 pm.
  • Gym, salon, beauty parlour, spa, wellness centres with 50% of seating capacity will be open from Monday to Friday till 4 pm as per prior appointment. However, air conditioning (AC) facilities will not be available at this place.
  • Public Transport System (PMPML) will continue with 50% of seating capacity (without standing).
  • Vehicles can have a maximum of 3 persons (driver + cleaner/helper) for travel as per the rules applicable to other passengers.
  • Inter-district travel will be allowed by private vehicles, buses and long distance trains. However, if the vehicle stops at a level 5 level district/place declared by the government, it will be mandatory to have an e-pass. At present no district is in level 5 category.
  • Production in Export Oriented Units (including MSMEs that need to fulfill export obligation) will continue on a regular basis.
  • The following manufacturing areas/industries will continue regularly:

A) Essential goods manufacturing units – (including the raw material manufacturing units, packaging units and the entire supply chain required by the manufacturing industries).

B) All continuous process industries – (Unites that require process that are of such a nature that these cannot be stopped immediately and cannot restart without considerable time requirement)

C) Manufacturing industries related to national security and defence. (Manufacturing of items that are significant to National Security and Defence)

E) Data Centers / Cloud Service providers / IT Services supporting critical infrastructure and services.

  • Except for the industries mentioned above, all other manufacturing sectors will continue with 50% staff capacity. The concerned industries should make separate transport arrangements for the transportation of employees. These employees will not be able to travel on public transport. Employees working in the establishments are expected to reach their homes by 5 pm.
  • Regular classes of all primary, secondary schools, colleges, educational institutions will be completely closed till 15th July 2021. All types of coaching classes, training institutes will be completely closed. However, online education will be allowed. However, Skill Development training courses related to the medical field will continue for the management of Covid19. They should follow the Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB).
  • Liquor shops will be open from Monday to Friday till 4 pm. Home delivery will continue on weekends.
  • Shops, markets, companies, factories, construction sites, hotels, restaurants, bars, food courts etc. have to get Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) of on-site workers and other persons every fortnight. Local area authorities should implement this with the help of medical departments in their area.
