Pune: PCMC Launches Helpline For Children Ahead Of COVID Third Wave

Pimpri, 5th July 2021: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has started a helpline for children to address their queries about Coronavirus disease (COVID19) infection. The child helpline was launched today by Mayor Usha alias Mai Dhore.

The helpline will be functional from Monday to Friday between 11 am to 1 pm. The helpline numbers are 7768800333 and 7768900333.

Mayor Dhore said, “In the backdrop of prediction about the third wave of COVID pandemic, PCMC has launched the helpline. Many experts have said that children might be affected by the third wave. Therefore, parents should make sure that their children are following COVID prevention norms.”

Actress Prajakta Mali, who was also present on the occasion, said, “I appeal to people not to take COVID19 lightly and follow the prevention guidelines. The helpline will provide authentic information to children.”

PCMC Commissioner Rajesh Patil said, “Parents and children should use the helpline for information about Covid-19 and children.”

Deputy Mayor Nani alias Hirabai Ghule, ruling party leader Namdev Dhake, Leader of Opposition Raju Misal, Women and Child Welfare Committee chairperson Chanda Lokhande, corporator Tushar Kamthe, Additional Commissioner Development Dhakne, IT Officer Nilkanth Poman, Public Relations Officer Kiran Gaikwad etc. were also present on the occasion.
