Pune: PCMC To Conduct Recruitment Exam For 388 Posts, Exam Dates Confirmed
Pimpri, 24th May 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced the examination dates for 388 vacant positions across 15 ‘B’ and ‘C’ group categories in various departments.
Following the Maharashtra government’s relaxation on employee recruitment restrictions, the exams are scheduled to take place on May 26, 27, and 28. A total of 98 centers in 26 cities across the state have been designated for the examination. To ensure smooth proceedings, inspectors have been appointed to oversee the process.
The Municipal Corporation had invited applications for positions such as Additional Legal Adviser, Legal Officer, Deputy Chief Forwarding Officer, Park Superintendent (Trees), Park Inspector, Horticulture Supervisor, Court Clerk, Animal Keeper, Social Worker, Civil Engineering Assistant, Clerk, Health Inspector, and Junior Engineers (Civil and Electrical). A staggering number of 85,771 candidates have submitted their applications from all corners of the state. The exam will be conducted in multiple sessions, with one session on May 26 and three sessions each on May 27 and 28.
To maintain the integrity of the examination, the Municipal Corporation has appointed senior officers, including Assistant Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and Joint City Engineers, as inspectors at the examination centers. Each center is equipped with mobile jammers, CCTV cameras, and scanning facilities to prevent any malpractices.
The District Superintendent of Police and the Commissioner of Police have been requested to make necessary security arrangements. Additionally, provisions have been made to accommodate the disabled candidates in accordance with government guidelines.
In a separate development, 350 students who have applied for both the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the Municipal Recruitment Exam will have their examinations scheduled at a later date, providing them with relief.
