Daily cleaning of roads and sewers in the city is done through a private organization. Tenders were invited for this on behalf of the Health Department. After completion of the tender process Tirupati Industrial Services Institute was given the work in ‘C’ and ‘E’ regional office limits. Similarly, the organization ‘SKSPL’ has been entrusted with the work of the ‘D’ regional office, ‘F’ regional office to Perfect Facility and ‘G’ and ‘H’ regional offices to Shubham Udyog.

It is mandatory for the organisation appointed by the municipality to pay the monthly salary to their employees by the 10th of every month. However, there are frequent complaints of employees not getting their salaries on time. The provision of penalty for late payment of salary was not made earlier. Many social organisations brought complaints in this regard to the awareness of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

In this background, it was decided to include penal provisions in an administrative meeting chaired by Municipal Corporation Administrator and Commissioner Rajesh Patil. Accordingly, penal action will be taken against the contractors who do not pay salaries on time.
