Pune: Pedestrian Day To Be Celebrated At Laxmi Road On December 11
Pune, 8th December 2022: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has organised a Pedestrian Day on 11th December at Laxmi Road.
PMC tweeted, “Want to experience a motor vehicle-free Lakshmi road? Then join us on Sunday. We have organised ‘Pedestrian Day’ on December 11, 2022! You can stroll and have fun with your family, walking down the stretch from Umbrya Ganpati Chowk to Garud Ganpati Chowk area, without fearing vehicles. They have been banned from 11 am to 4 pm on the stretch! Be sure to come. We are waiting for you!”
Over 15 years ago, the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) introduced the global initiative in the city on MG Road. Over the last few years, the concept has been applied across various popular and densely crowded streets in Pune.
