Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad City Ranked First In “Citizen Feedback” Register Under Swachh Survekshan Initiative

Pimpri/New Delhi, 1st October 2022: An inspection was conducted in the Pimpri Chinchwad city under the central government’s cleanliness survey. Citizen participation i.e. feedback was given online.

Among them, Pimpri-Chinchwad city has got the first rank. The city was adjudged number one in the country in ‘Best Citizen Feedback’. The ‘Swachh Amrit Award’ ceremony was held in Delhi today.

The award was presented by Union Urban Development Minister Kaushal Kishore, Union Urban Development Secretary Manoj Joshi. Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh accepted the award.

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Charthankar, Ravikiran Ghodke, Health Executive Officer Ganesh Deshpande, Advisory Representative Vinayak Padmane, Health staff and Gokul Bhalerao were present on this occasion.

Under the cleanliness survey of the central government, the cleanliness of the cities was examined at the country level. For this, three different teams were in the city till the end of April. Citizen participation i.e. feedback was taken online. For that, one had to open the given link and answer the questions asked in it. Most of the citizens have given their feedback.

Also, the city has won the first prize in the country for giving correct answers. Meanwhile, Pimpri Chinchwad city has got 19th rank in the country and 4th rank in the state in the results of Swachh Survekshan.
