Pimpri Chinchwad, 19th April 2024: The Pimpri Chinchwad Crime Branch Unit One has apprehended a notorious criminal who had been evading capture for three years by frequently changing his residence. He faces charges in cases registered at Chikhali, MIDC Bhosari, and Dighi police stations.

The suspect, identified as Vilas Balshiram More, 38, a resident of Bhosari, had been absconding since a theft case was filed against him in 2021 at the Chikhali Police Station. Although the police managed to arrest his accomplices, More had been eluding them by continuously relocating.

Zone 3 Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Doifode provided information regarding the case, explaining that More had been on the run for the last three years, making it difficult for the police to locate him.

However, Crime Branch Unit One officers Balu Kokate, Somnath Borhade, Mahadev Javale, and Ajit Rupanwar were able to track More’s location through technical analysis. When More arrived at the Phuge Prima Building in Bhosari, the police arrested him.

Vilas More faces charges in various cases at the Chikhali, MIDC Bhosari, and Dighi Police Stations.
