Pimpri Chinchwad, 22nd March 2024: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey conducted a durbar to address the concerns and issues faced by the city police force. During the session, various problems were presented by the police personnel, and Commissioner Choubey promptly instructed the relevant authorities to take immediate action to resolve them.

While the Commissioner of Police regularly communicates with senior officers and heads of police stations through meetings, it was observed that communication with other junior-level officers and employees was not as extensive. Therefore, the durbar was organized to foster better communication between all levels of the police force. Held in Nigdi, the durbar saw the participation of approximately 300 police officers.

Police personnel brought forth a range of personal and office-related challenges before Commissioner Choubey, including issues regarding house rent, salary increments, promotions, and transfer requests. While accommodating immediate transfers for all individuals may not be feasible, Commissioner Choubey assured that transfer requests would be duly considered during regular transfer processes.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doifode highlighted the significant mental stress experienced by police personnel due to workload and personal and professional challenges. By providing a platform for officers to voice their concerns and address issues promptly, Commissioner Choubey aims to alleviate the mental stress faced by the police force. He has instructed the concerned authorities to take proactive measures to address the problems raised by all personnel.
