Pimpri, 8th July 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police Department has taken a significant step towards enhancing the security of elderly individuals by introducing a new helpline service named ‘Jeshthanubandh.’

Spearheaded by Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, this 24/7 initiative aims to assist senior citizens who reside alone, those whose children live abroad or at a distance, and individuals in distress.

By offering a dedicated channel of communication, authorities hope to address the unique challenges faced by senior citizens and provide them with timely support.

The helpline service is structured to encompass two primary categories: the Senior Citizen Helpline and the Cyber Crime Helpline. Senior citizens in need of assistance can reach out to the designated number, 14567, to seek aid, report emergencies, or share their concerns.

Simultaneously, the Cyber Crime Helpline 1930, aims to combat digital offences and safeguard older individuals from online scams, fraud, and harassment.
