Pune, 28th August 2025: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have issued a traffic advisory for today as activist Manoj Jarange Patil resumes his march demanding Maratha reservation. The movement, which began from Antarwali Sarati on August 27, is headed towards Mumbai, where the protest is planned at Azad Maidan.

First Day of the March – August 27
The march commenced at 10 am from Antarwali Sarati. Participants are traveling through key points including Shahgad, Paithan, Shevgaon, Pandharipul, and Alephata before halting at Shivneri Fort, the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Manoj Jarange Patil and his supporters will stay overnight at the fort.

Second Day of the March – August 28
On Thursday morning, the march will proceed from Shivneri Fort towards Mumbai, passing through Chakan, Talegaon, and Lonavala, and entering the city via Vashi. Authorities anticipate a large turnout along the route, which could affect traffic in several areas.

Protest in Mumbai – August 29
The march will culminate at Azad Maidan on Friday, where protesters plan to present their demands for Maratha reservation to the government. Administration officials have made arrangements to maintain law and order during the event, but a significant impact on Mumbai traffic is expected due to the large crowd.

High Court Refuses Permission for Protest
The Bombay High Court has denied permission for the protest in Mumbai, citing potential law and order issues during the Ganeshotsav period. Despite the court order, the march is proceeding, and authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure safety.
