Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Recovers 69 Stolen Mobile Phones Worth Rs 7.1 Lakh

Pimpri, 8th May 2023: The Crime Branch Unit One of Pimpri-Chinchwad police has been successful in tracing stolen and missing mobile phones. The police have recovered 69 phones worth Rs. 7.1 lakh and have detained three suspects, including one minor.

 

 

DCP (Crime Branch) Swapna Gore stated that the investigation team has detected nine crimes in the MIDC Bhosari and Sangvi police stations so far. “We have already returned 18 phones to their rightful owners, and the process to return others is ongoing,” said DCP Swapna.

 

According to the police, the accused were former employees at a petrol pump before they began stealing mobile phones. They had collectively stolen 69 mobile phones from the Pimpri Chinchwad city area.

 

The investigation team included Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Prashant Amritkar, Senior Police Inspector Dyaneshwar Katkar, Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Tungar, Police Sub-Inspector Imran Shaikh, Police Constables Farooq Mulla, Pramod Hiralkar, Umakant Sarwade, Swapnil Mahale, Maruti Jaibhai, Vishal Bhoir, and Technical Analyst Nagesh Mali.
