Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Bike Enthusiast Vinil Kharge Smashes Record; Covers 6,012 Kilometers in 66 Hours and 24 Minutes
Pimpri-Chinchwad, 18th July 2023: Vinil Kharge, a passionate biker from Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, has etched his name in the record books by accomplishing a remarkable feat. Covering an astounding distance of 6,012 kilometers in just 66 hours and 24 minutes, Vinil has set a new record, surpassing the previous record held by Chetan from Bangalore, who completed the journey in 78 hours and 32 minutes. This remarkable achievement has been officially recognized by the India Book of Records.
Kharge, renowned for his numerous biking accomplishments, added yet another feather to his cap by conquering this incredible challenge. Reflecting on his achievement, Kharge shared, “I embarked on this record-breaking journey from Tathwade in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Initially, it seemed like an insurmountable task, but I persevered and successfully completed the feat.”
The arduous journey took Kharge from Tathawade to prominent cities such as Bangalore, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Varanasi, Agra, Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and finally back to Pune, covering a total distance of 6,012 kilometers in an impressive 66 hours and 24 minutes. Surpassing Chetan’s record from Bangalore, which stood at 78 hours and 32 minutes, Kharge’s remarkable accomplishment sets a new benchmark in biking endurance. Notably, this isn’t the first record set by Kharge, who has consistently pushed boundaries in the biking world.
Overcoming detractors who doubted his ability to achieve such a feat, Kharge stated, “In the face of criticism, I remain undeterred. Whether you perform well or face challenges, people will always have something to say. Therefore, I believe cynicism should remain confined within its own boundaries.”
