Pune: PMC Extends ‘Abhay Yojana’ For Property Tax Payments Till February 28th
Pune, 25th January 2022: The ‘Abhay Yojana’ started by the Pune Municipal Corporation’s for recovery of property tax arrears has been extended till February 28. The scheme was due to expire on January 26.
Chairman of the PMC’s standing committee, Hemant Rasane informed that the scheme will also apply to vacant lots along with residential properties.
The scheme was proposed for commercial and residential properties tax holders. But Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar refused to implement the scheme for commercial property owners and executed implementation only for residential holders.
“In the last 15 days, PMC has earned around Rs 50 crore. However, many citizens have not been able to avail of the benefits yet, therefore the Abhay Yojana has been extended till February 28”, the chairman further added.
