Pune: PMC Extends Garden Timings During Summer Vacation
Pune, 27th April 2026: With the onset of summer vacation, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has extended the operating hours of public gardens across the city to benefit children and residents.
According to a notice shared by PMC on April 18, the decision was taken as schools remain closed for the summer and more children visit parks in the evening. The revised timings will be in effect from April 19 to June 15, 2026.
As per the new schedule, all city gardens will remain open from 6:00 am to 11:00 am in the morning and from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the evening. The extended evening hours are expected to give citizens more time to enjoy outdoor activities during the vacation period.
The civic body has also revised the timings of the city aquarium. It will remain open from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
PMC has urged citizens to make the most of this facility and spend time in public spaces during the summer break. The initiative is aimed at encouraging outdoor play among children and offering families more recreational opportunities.
