Pune: PMC Launches Helpline for Pre-Monsoon Work, Citizen Can Call if There Is Any Issue

Pune, 7th June 2021: For the last two years, Pune city has been receiving more than average rainfall. The monsoon season has been devastating. In some cases, it has disrupted the livelihood of people in various areas like Patil Estate, Katraj, etc. Therefore, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a helpline to complete pre-monsoon work and to receive distress calls during monsoon. Citizens can call the helpline in case of any distress.

To take immediate measures, a separate cell has been set up in room no. 129 of PMC’s Road Department from June 1. Citizens can register their complaints by calling on 020 25501083. The room is operational 24 hours a day.

A booth will be available for taking note of complaints received from the citizens. The information from the concerned officers/staff will also be sent from there for taking necessary and swift action. One can also call the helpline to record rainfall in their respective area. Through this cell, PMC will also plan for the drainage of rainwater, repair roads and fill potholes, etc. A press release in this regard has been issued by PMC Superintending Engineer (Road) Vijaykumar Shinde.
