Pune: PMC Raids Hotels In Pune; Encroachment Of 6,000 Sq Ft Removed By PMC

Pune, 2nd November 2022: Open terraces i.e. rooftop hotels are rampant in Pune city and action is being taken against them by the Building Department of the municipal corporation. Encroachment of 6,000 square feet was removed by taking action on the hotel Silver Spoon in Kondhwa.

 

Building Department received information that illegal rooftop hotels were made at Hotel Mughal Sarai on Floor 3 at Brahma Angan Restaurant located at Kondhwa Khurd Survey No 1, Hotel Silver Spoon in The Central Mall Rooftop Hotel located at Kausar Baug. Reportedly, these hotels started without taking the permission of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The Municipal Corporation had issued a notice and asked to remove this encroachment. But after ignoring it, the Building Department took action.

 

 

With the help of Superintending Engineers Sudhir Kadam and Yuvraj Deshmukh, Executive Engineers Ramesh Kakade and Chandrasen Nagtilak, Branch Engineers Shramik Shewate and Umesh Shikhar, Junior Engineer Vishal Patil and Police officials from the Encroachment Department under the guidance of Building Department, Zone 5, Pune Municipal City Engineer Prashant Waghmare. JCB, with the help of two gas cutters, carried out the operation of unauthorised construction of about 6000 sq. ft.
