Shivdurg Team Rescues Man After He Got Lost Near Morgiri Fort

Lonavla, 2nd November 2022: A person named Hamras from Kerala with the dream of seeing 350 forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj got lost near Morgiri fort. Eight days ago he came to Lonavala. On October 21, while going to Morgiri fort, which is next to Tung fort, he lost his way and got stuck in a deep valley.

 

A Shivdurg team from Lonavala after getting information about the incident contacted Hamras and started the search mission in the Sahyadri mountain range at around 1.00 pm.

 

After approaching Jambhulane village on Tung Road, at a shop, they got to know that Hamras had gone ahead from the same path. After checking the location sent by him, the search operation started at 4.00 pm.
There, Akhade Baba, who was past 60 years of age participated in the search mission at Morgiri Fort along with the members of Shivdurg team.

 

 

The team of Shivdurg was searching for Hamras while making their way in the thick fog using the clues like footprints, twisted and bent grass. Locations were constantly fluctuating, the team carried out the operation by signalling each other with beeping, flashing battery lights, etc.

 

Meanwhile, Hamras responded to the sound of Shivdurg’s team. Over the next few minutes, the members searched the route and checked for Hamras.

 

First, he was brought down to the village with the help of everyone. After the rescue, the team left for Lonavala, while Hamras stayed the next morning and started travelling towards Palghar on a bicycle.
