Pune: PMC Should Consider People’s Suggestions For Changes In Riverfront Project – Aditya Thackeray
Pune, 28th October 2022: The MVA government’s work on electrification of public transport in Pune was recognised internationally at the Mayors’ Summit of C40 Cities in Buenos Aires.
Today, Yuvasena chief Aaditya Thackeray met Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation Kumar and congratulated Pune city for this award and also requested him to work towards membership of C40.
During this meet, Thackeray also suggested that PMC works in sync with people suggesting minor changes on river front development, other agencies like Pune Metro to avoid events like recent waterlogging in Pune.
“Rain water holding tanks like the ones we made in Mumbai will also help in Pune Resources like World Resources WRI and engineering colleges must be utilised to make a comprehensive plan for Pune’s climate preparedness and flood mitigation, a problem that has sprung up recently. Agencies need to work in sync”, Thackeray added.
