Pune: PMC To Trace All Passengers Who Traveled With Youth Infected With New Strain Of Coronavirus

Pune, January 6, 2021: After the youth who was detected with the new strain of Coronavirus, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) health department has directed to check all the co-passengers with the youth in the aeroplane. The State Family Welfare Health Services has also asked for the information regarding the passengers who have traveled with the youth to Mumbai and from Mumbai to Pune.

 

PMC has been gathering information about the passengers who have returned from Britain after December 1. Among the passengers who arrived from Britain on December 13, 2020 flight this 26-year-old youth from Pune was there. He was infected with the new strain. He was admitted at the Dr Naidu Infectious Hospital in the quarantine section.

 

His swab was sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) for further testing on December 26, 2020. His report tested positive for it. His test conducted on the 14th and 15th day were negative. He has been discharged from the hospital and has been quarantined at home.

Now as a preventive measure, PMC has asked for the information of the co-passengers. It will include their addresses and names.
