Pune: PMC Vaccination Centres Will Be Closed On Sunday Due To Vaccine Shortage

Pune, 5th June 2021: Pune municipal corporation (PMC) has informed that vaccination will not be done on Sunday (June 6) as they have run out of the dose of Covaxin and Covishield vaccine.

The municipal corporation had received 24,000 doses of Covshield, according to which vaccination was done in the city for three days. About three and a half thousand doses of Covaxin were available.

Vaccination will not take place on Sunday as the stock of both vaccines is over. Planning will be done on Monday if the vaccine becomes available, the municipal administration said.

Vaccination of 25,000 people in the city

Today (Saturday) Municipal Corporation organised vaccination at 77 places, while private hospitals vaccinated 24,099 people. Among them, 19,705 youths between the ages of 18 to 44 have been vaccinated. 263 health workers and 472 frontline workers were vaccinated. 1,496 senior citizens, 3,137 citizens in the age group of 45 to 59 were vaccinated. A total of 11,77,954 people have been vaccinated in the city so far.
