Pune 22nd Sept 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has conducted a survey at the NDA flyover that was recently inaugurated and found ten risky spots for commuters and pedestrians on the flyover, service roads and entry-exit points of the project. The civic body will soon send a proposal to the civic committees for approval with an aim to fix these issues.

The National Highway Highway Authority of India (NHAI) that was responsible for the project has also planned several works such as construction of underpass, foot over bridges to resolve the issues and a detailed plan has been already sent for the approval with a budget of Rs 6 Crore. However, it is likely to take another five to six months to complete after the approval.

The flyover has been flagged as risky for pedestrians and a footover bridge has been proposed after the survey was conducted by PMC. The project was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari. It aims to solve the heavy traffic congestion in the area. However, the residents have claimed that the flyover has not solved the problem and they still have to face traffic congestion during the peak hours.
