Pune: PMPML Driver Abused And Manhandled By Biker For Honking On Road, Case Registered

Pune 5th Sept 2023: In yet another road rage incident reported in the city, a biker allegedly abused and manhandled the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) driver for honking as he was riding ahead of the bus. The incident took place at around 4:30 am on Monday near a Bus Stop located next to Mahatma Phule Society at Seven Loves Chowk on Shankar Sheth Road.

According to the complaint registered with the police, the PMPML driver identified as Sharad Laxman Tandale was driving towards Shewalwadi from Katraj Bus stand at the time of incident. As he reached near Seven Loves Chowk and halted at a signal, a man standing next to his bus got angry over honking and started abusing the driver and even manhandled him while trying to pull him out of the bus.

A case in this regard has been registered at Khadak Police Station under sections 353, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against an unidentified biker. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
