Pune: PMPML Introduces Daily Pass For PMRDA Limits At Rs 120
Pune, 3rd September 2023: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) during its recent board meeting, has made a significant decision to introduce daily pass services for the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) areas.
These passes will be available at a rate of Rs 120 per day, with a monthly pass option offered at Rs 2700. This move marks a change from the previous rates of Rs 40 and Rs 50 for Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) limits, respectively.
To obtain a PMPML pass, passengers are required to visit the nearest pass center of the PMPML, where they must provide a photocopy of their Aadhaar card and photo to get the pass. Alternatively, for a daily pass, commuters can approach the bus conductor and present one of several identification documents, such as their Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving license, or passport.
Requests for the introduction of daily and monthly passes, along with the adjustment of pass prices for passengers within the PMRDA area, have been consistently made by employees, women, and public representatives of the PMRDA area. Consequently, the new rates for daily passes across the entire operational area of PMPML will be set at Rs 120, with the monthly pass priced at Rs 2700.
