Pune, 3rd September 2023: Students who have successfully passed the 12th supplementary examination conducted by the Maharashtra state board will have the opportunity to seek admission to degree courses. To facilitate this, an extension has been granted for first-year admissions to Arts and Commerce degree courses under the Open and Distance Studies School of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Students can now apply for admission until September 25.

The availability of distance courses provides an essential avenue for students, working professionals, and women to access higher education. The admission process for Savitribai Phule Pune University’s distance courses commenced online one month ago. Many colleges in the city have already completed their admission processes for both degree and professional courses, or they are in the final stages. Consequently, the deadline has been extended to ensure that students who have passed the supplementary examination are not denied admission, ensuring that they have the opportunity to pursue their desired courses.

As a result, the deadline for online enrollment for distance courses has been extended until September 25, with the deadline for online application fee payment set for September 27. Students who have submitted their online application forms for admission are required to provide a copy of their admission form along with the necessary documents to their respective study centers by October 4, according to Dr. Vaibhav Jadhav.
