Road Accidents In Pune Claim Lives Of Senior Citizen And Youth
Pune, 3rd September 2023: In a sorrowful incident near Hadapsar, a senior citizen lost his life when he was struck by a speeding Bullet motorcycle. The tragic accident occurred in the Lakshmi Colony area on a Friday afternoon.
The victim, Dhondiram Appa Chindhe, aged 63 and a resident of Hadapsar, was riding his motorcycle towards Lakshmi Colony when the incident took place. He was tragically struck by a Bullet motorcycle traveling at a high speed. Promptly, local residents rushed Chindhe to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical treatment. The motorcyclist of the Bullet fled the scene, and a case has been registered against them at the Hadapsar police station.
In a separate incident, a collision involving a container in the Urulikanchan area on Solapur Road, Pune, claimed the life of 23-year-old Shubham Ramesh Lecherud, a resident of Dalimb, Daund. His cousin, Sachin, has filed a police complaint regarding the incident. Shubham and his friend, Akash Mhaske, were walking along Solapur Road on Friday morning when they were struck by a container near Elite Chowk in Urlikanchan.
Shubham lost his life in the accident, while Akash sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. A case has been registered against the container driver at the Lonikalbhor police station in connection with the incident.
