Pune: PMPML Restores And Extends Few Routes

Pune, 1st September 2023: The Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cityscape is set to see a significant change in its public transportation system, as the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) administration announces several route extensions and service enhancements. 

Commencing from Friday, September 1, these changes aim to improve connectivity and cater to passenger demands.

The following route extensions have been approved:

  1. The Dangat Estate to Galinde Path route has been extended to Deccan Gymkhana.
  2. The route from Shimla Office to Indira College (Tathawade) now extends to Mahapalika Bhavan.
  3. The route from Bharti Vidyapeetg to Shaniwarwada has been expanded to Shivajinagar.
  4. The route from Dehugaon to Moshi has been extended to Bhosari.

Additionally, the Sutardara to Pune railway station route has been restored, addressing the needs of commuters. Furthermore, two routes, namely Bhosari to Mahapalika Bhawan and Swargate to Hadapsar, will offer non-stop services.

In response to passenger demands and as part of an effort to enhance public transportation, three new routes have been introduced:

  1. Swargate to Jagdamba Bhawan
  2. Pisoli to Nigdi to Jambe
  3. Pimpri Metro Station to Kivalegaon

These developments were announced by the Traffic Management Department of PMP, underscoring the administration’s commitment to improving public transport services in the region to better serve the commuting public.
