Pune: PMPML To Start Bus Service On 12 New Routes

Pune, December 10, 2020: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) will start bus service connecting Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad suburbs and villages. 70 new buses will be provided on 12 routes. As the PMPML service will be extended to Pune district, commuters from rural areas to cities will get relief.

The PMPML service, which is limited to Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, is expanding to rural areas. For this, the administration has more than 2,000 buses, both owned and leased. For the last few months, bus services were being started in the industrial areas and rural areas near Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The PMPML has got a green signal to start bus services in the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) limit. Therefore, the administration is planning to start bus services on 12 routes in rural areas.

Buses will run on these routes

Every 15 minutes Hadapsar – Ghorpadi, every 20 minutes Chakan – Shikrapur, Chakan – Talegaon Dabhade, Saswad – Jejuri, every 25 minutes Deccan – Bhugaon (Tangde Mala), Every 30 minutes Katraj – Sarola, Hadapsar – Fursungi – Hadapsar (circle), Pimpri Road – Spine Mall, Wagholi – Ranjangaon, every 35 minutes Pimpri Road – Warje Malwadi, every 40 minutes Hadapsar – Yavat, and after 1 hour Wagholi – Rahu.

Bus services are planned on 12 new routes from December 12. Buses will run from Katraj, Hadapsar, Wagholi and other suburbs, while bus services will be started in Ranjangaon, Jejuri MIDC, Yavat, Sarola and other areas. This is an attempt to connect bus service from different parts to the city.
