Pune: PMPML to start bus services from August

Pune July 03, 2020: The unlock process has begun. Offices, industries and businesses have started. Now the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML), which has stopped plying city public transport buses since March, is expected to start operations in August. A meeting was held by the administration with all the 13 depot managers and instructed them to be ready for operations. The administration has planned to start buses on 50 routes.
Due to the coronavirus, the PMPML stopped operation from March 18 and the buses were only operating for essential work. The administration has indicated to start the operation from August in Pune. However, the administration has started the buses in Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) jurisdiction from May 26 on limited routes.
PMPML traffic manager Anant Waghmare had called a meeting with 13 depot managers. During the meeting, it was discussed to start the operation from August on 50 routes.
