Pune: PMRDA Provides Affordable Houses with New Electricity Connections
Pune, 30th June 2023: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has handed over possession of affordable houses to beneficiaries in the Jadhavwadi, Sector 12 project. As part of the initiative, new electricity connections are being provided to the beneficiaries, with an abundant supply of new electricity meters available from MSEDCL. The first phase of the PMRDA project aims to equip approximately 3,100 houses with new electricity meters.
To date, the authorities have received 1,919 applications for new electricity connections, and quotations have been provided to 1,509 customers. Among them, 1,367 customers who have paid the quotation have successfully received their new electricity connections. Beneficiaries who face difficulties in filling out the online application form are advised to visit the Bhosari village branch office with the necessary documents, including the allotment letter and the Aadhaar card of the person named in the letter.
To expedite the process of providing electricity connections for the PMRD houses, Mahavitran is swiftly working on the project. A dedicated help room has been set up at the branch office in Bhosari village to assist beneficiaries. It is important for the beneficiaries to refrain from responding to any third-party requests for financial compensation in exchange for an electricity connection. Additionally, if there are any complaints or issues concerning the new electricity connections, MSEDCL has requested direct contact with the Branch Engineer of Bhosari Village or the Additional Executive Engineer of the Bhosari Sub-Division.
In order to streamline the work of providing new electricity connections, two additional employees have been appointed at the customer convenience center in the branch office at Bhosari village. Beneficiaries who are unable to fill out the online application for an electricity connection are encouraged to visit the Bhosari village branch office with the required documents. At the office, the team assists with online application submission, document verification, quotation issuance, and facilitating the installation of new meters and electricity connections.
