Pune Police Appeals People to Inform About Banned Tobacco, Drugs Sale At Paan-Beedi Shops Through WhatsApp
Pune 26th July 2023: The Pune City Police have intensified action against shops selling banned tobacco or drugs in the city. The city police have taken action against several paan-beedi shops in the last few days. Citizens have been appealed to share information of such shops through WhatsApp number shared earlier to directly connect with the Police Commissioner.
“One of the many TOUCH-POINTS for youngsters to get introduced to the world of drugs may be the next door Paan-Beedi shop. To complain about any such paan-beedi shop selling drugs in your area, citizens can share information through CP’s Whatsapp number 8975953100 or can share information through Twitter” Pune Police tweeted.

It may be noted that the Police Commissioner earlier shared WhatsApp number for citizens to directly connect with him for any complaint or share information. The complaints sent through WhatsApp are monitored by the Police Commissioner personally and concerned police stations or departments are instructed to take immediate action.
