Mandai, 5th June 2025: A brutal murder near Pune’s Mandai Metro Station has been swiftly solved by police, with the arrest of a accused within just 24 hours. The incident occurred in the parking area outside the station on Wednesday. The victim, an unidentified man aged about 50, was found lying in a pool of blood and was declared dead at Sassoon General Hospital after being transported for urgent care.
According to police, the accused, Ramesh Prakash Satre (age 21, resident of Rahuri, Ahilyanagar District), was apprehended in Shirur taluka after a parallel investigation led by Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Pankaj Deshmukh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingle and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime 1) Ganesh Ingale.
