Pune Police Arrest Minor Boy for Stealing Two-Wheelers; Two Stolen Bikes Recovered

Katraj, 25th December 2024: A minor boy who used to steal two-wheelers for amusement has been arrested by Pune Police, and two stolen bikes have been recovered. Despite being a minor, the boy was a repeat offender in theft. The Detection Branch (DB) of Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station carried out the action.

Police Constables Mahesh Baravkar, Mitesh Chorlmale, Sagar Borage, and Abhinay Chaudhary received a tip-off from a reliable source that a minor was roaming with a stolen vehicle in their jurisdiction. Upon detaining and questioning him, it was revealed that he had stolen two two-wheelers for personal enjoyment and to earn quick money. With his arrest, two cases registered at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station have been solved, and the stolen bikes have been seized.

This action was conducted under the guidance of Pune City Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Pravin Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Smartana Patil, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Swargate Division) Rahul Aware.

The team, led by Senior Police Inspector Dashrath Patil, Police Inspector (Crime) Sangeeta Devkate, and Police Inspector Rahul Kumar Khilare, included Police Sub-Inspector Nilesh Mokashi and Police Constables Mahesh Baravkar, Mitesh Chormale, Sagar Borage, Mangesh Pawar, Chetan Gore, Sachin Sarpale, Sachin Gade, Nilesh Khairmode, and Abhinay Chaudhary, all from Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station.
