Pune Police Arrest Two Men For Selling Drugs Through Instagram
Pune, 20th November 2022: The Anti-Narcotics Squad One of the Pune Police Crime Branch has arrested two men selling mephedrone and hashish (Charas) using Instagram. They have seized valuables worth Rs 2.15 lakh from them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Akash Mahendra Thakar (22) and Aniket Janardhan Dhandekar (20), both residents of Hingane Khurd.
After getting information, the team laid a trap in the jurisdiction of Sinhgad Road police station and nabbed them. The team has seized charas worth Rs 48,000, a mobile phone and a two-wheeler from Akash. Mephedrone worth Rs 87,000 and a mobile phone were seized from Aniket.
The action was taken by a team comprising Senior Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad, API Laxman Dhengle, API Shailaja Jankar, Sujit Wadekar, Manoj Kumar Salunke, Vishal Dalvi, Pandurang Pawar, Sandeep Shirke, Rahul Joshi, Pravin Uttekar, Maruti Pardhi, Sachin Malve, Sandesh Kakade, Rehana Sheikh, Nitesh Jadhav and Yogesh Mohite.
