Pune Police Bust Multiple Prostitution Rings Operating in Lodges and Spas
Pune, 27th December 2025: Pune police have uncovered multiple illegal prostitution operations running under the guise of lodges and massage parlors across the city. In separate actions in the Katraj-Mantarwadi and Koregaon Park areas, authorities rescued several women and arrested managers and other key suspects involved in promoting sex work.
According to the Fursungi police, information was received regarding illegal activities at Crystal Lodge on the Katraj-Mantarwadi outer bypass. Acting on the tip-off, a police team conducted a raid, taking several women into custody. Authorities registered a case at Fursungi Police Station, with Sub-Inspector Tehseen Beg recording the complaint. Five men and one woman, including lodge staff, were booked for allegedly inducing women into sex work. The operation was overseen by Assistant Commissioner of Police Anuradha Udamele and Senior Inspector Rajesh More, with Inspector Rajesh Khande of the Crime Branch spearheading the investigation.
In a separate operation in Koregaon Park, police raided the Silver Soul Spa following complaints that the establishment was functioning as a front for prostitution under the guise of a massage parlor. Several women were rescued, and the spa manager, Faizal Azihur Rehman Ahmed (alias Sameer, 38), was arrested. Sub-Inspector Ashwini Vanwe filed the complaint at Koregaon Park Police Station. The raid was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Police Inspector Sangeeta Alphonso-Shinde, with ongoing investigation monitored by Senior Inspector Doke.
These actions are part of a broader crackdown on massage parlors and lodges in areas such as Baner, Balewadi, and Koregaon Park, which have increasingly been reported as fronts for prostitution. Just two days ago, a similar operation in Baner led to the arrest of a lodge manager and the rescue of several women.
